I discovered the Baseball Card Blogosphere (BCB) in January, 2008. I thought, why can't I do a blog.

So a started Capewood's Collections where I feature my baseball card collection along with other interests, like bonsai, photography, reading and music. I didn't want to concentrate just on baseball cards because I wanted my friends and family to read it as well and very few of them are interested in baseball cards. But I longed to do a baseball card only blog.

There are a good many baseball card blogs out there and the number seems to grow every day. I needed a niche.

My collecting goal is to own as many different cards as I can find. Base cards, inserts, subsets, auto cards, relic cards and odd-ball cards. I love them all. I have an extensive database of cards with scans and as much set information as I can find. So this blog will present my baseball card collection from 1980 to present. I hope it will be

interesting to collectors, a source of information (I wonder what the 1980 Topps cards checklists looked like?) and fun. I welcome comments on how to make it better.
